It felt like a dream came true
I seldom write in my tumblr (Which is only used for safekeeping awesome pictures of my loves) but I thought I shall write my own fan account of what happened during SS4 SG 18TH Feb for my own safekeeping.
I was picked… By Sungmin. During the “Find SJ Girlfriend” segment.
I was in PEN A, just behind the barricade near to the stage. I seriously did not expect to be picked at all but still, waved to him with all my might. Prior to the concert, I still told my friend “Nah… I don’t think they will pick a girl for SG’s concerts”. Sungmin walked towards my direction and he stared at me. In my head “I was like… OMG Is he going to pick me?” I wasn’t sure. He looked at me for quite some time.
He then looked away towards my left. To be honest, I was in shock from Sungmin looking at me and still did not felt any disappointment that he looked away. After which, I still continued waving at him and he came back to me and pointed me out.
Believe me. I WAS SHOCKED. Like REAL SHOCKED. Never in my life, would I believe my luck… That one day, I can be picked by one of them. I was carried out by the security awkwardly, and in my state of shock. I stepped on my shoelaces and almost tripped before I went on stage T_T
I went up… My legs were trembling. My mouth was dry and my hands were shaking. From the stage, the lights were too bright and I could not really see the people down the stage. I WAS SO SCARED. Even more scared when Teuk held me by my shoulders. They asked me to do an intro, which i awkwardly said “Hi……..” (I was thinking, WHAT SHOULD I SAY? In english or korean?!) Afterwhich I did an awkward introduction in Korean :/
Hyuk and Teuk noticed the Kyuhyun fan I was holding >< And after the conversation between them (I seriously cannot remember much and was in a constant state of shock) They asked me to choose. I was dumbfounded! Everyone obviously knew I’m Kyu biased but I don’t want to reject Sungmin! Amidst all the confusion and thinking, Yesung blew paper snow into the back of my head and back hugged me (OMG)
After which I chose Kyuhyun (Sungmin lovers, please don’t hate I love all of them tooooo) And they made Sungmin sang to me. I WAS SO EMBARRASSED. I could not look Sungmin in the eye. During Kyu’s dance part, I totally blanked out. My expression throughout was O.O O.O O.O O.O O.O
Then they made me choose again. To be honest again, I cannot hear them nor the translator speak clearly. When they asked me to choose again, the members told me to choose Sungmin this time. LOL So ok… I said “Sungmin” (I didn’t know whether I was supposed to say the name out or what, but Teuk passed me the MIC so I just blurted out his name?)
Then Siwon said he wanted to prank Kyuhyun by hugging him, hahahaha :) He did that and I was supposed to chose. THIS TIME, I was in a even more confused state. What should I do? What should I do? T_T Teuk asked me again to choose, in which I blurted out Sungmin (I was confused!!! Because different members are asking me to do different things) And was prepared to go back hug him, haha :)
They then asked me to follow my heart and choose… Well, I chose Kyuhyun in the end >< And i didn’t know whether to go ahead with the back hug. I had to ask the other members if it’s okay to go ahead with it and the rest just supported me.
I gave Kyu a half back hug. I knew I wanted to give him a full back hug, but I’m just too shy to do it!!! And him standing in front of me… Taller than me… Bigger than me… I’m too overwhelmed! After that, everything was a blur… I was taught the You & I dance by Kyuhyun. Siwon was just beside me and he was really nice to me. He guided me in english and kept asking if it’s ok. I had to turn my head left right left right to shuffle between Kyuhyun and Siwon.
And of course, the “You Know” “You Know What” saga, haha. Cos Kyuhyun was only demonstrating and asking me “You Know?” like many times XD Fast forward, I did the dance with the rest…
And then my dream came true. Kyuhyun… Kyuhyun offered a hug. I haven’t expected that as I had already back hugged him. All I can remember was intense shock, and hugged him back with my eyes closed. Now i regret not hugging longer. He held my hand and led me down stage.
Back at my spot… I couldn’t believe it. It felt SURREAL. What had I just went through? I had seen all members on stage up close. I was treated 1-on-1 by the members. The security down even gave me a smile when he saw me, heh. After the whole thing, Sungmin… Lol. He walked past me during a song and was waving to my section. Saw me, and stomped his feet in an ageyo way. Hahaha he’s so adorable! Second time, he walked past… He saw me and stomped his feet again. I apologized in my way by giving him a flying kiss ~<3 He then acted petty ageyo-ly. After which, he returned my flying kiss. SO ALL IS WELL ^^
This whole incident… Has changed my life. Never in my life, I expected this to happen to me. Never in my life, I expected myself to be on stage with them. Prior to this, I have never regretted being so crazy in this fandom, and now I’m even more blessed to be in this fandom.
Of course, after the incident… I managed to read a few nasty comments online. On YouTube, on Tumblr. A girl standing behind me said I was very rude. I had no recollection of anything I might have done to offend her. But if I had pushed you backwards during any time during the concert, I sincerely apologized. I had no choice because It’s really squeezy and my whole body was squashed (and the fact that I need to pee, didn’t help) I meant no harm.
A Sungmin fan wasn’t happy I was chose (And also because I was Kyu biased) and then said I was dumb because I didn’t follow instructions by doing the backhug instead of blurting out the name) I wasn’t offended, but I was really sadden by it. But trust me, when you are on the stage… Everything around you is really a blur. I didn’t know how to react and my hands were trembling. And because everyone was screaming… I couldn’t hear.
Nonetheless, there are also other heartwarming comments from E.L.F that made everything better. I am really happy to be in this fandom, and I will never ever leave this fandom.
